Don’t Get It
Well this is sorta a thanks to my friend (and previous coworker) Ray, who is quirky and fun and also helped me put together all my books for MOCCA. I tried to capture his enthusiastic love-of-all-things-printing here. Actually, I was pretty excited about that stapler too (having poked myself in the fingers with the sharp end of a staple more than once making previous books)- anyone who has ever had to hand staple a book will understand too. Speaking of DIY, I’m thinking of getting a button maker OH THINK OF ALL THE POSSIBILITIES!!! Ahem. Anyway, thanks muchly Ray, for being a huge graphic design dork! ;D

The lizard rocks. I mean, you can practically see “typography and design geek” written all over him.

Get the button maker. You know you want it.
I went to an anime con and sold fan art buttons with it. It paid for itself 6 times over at the first con. Now I’m able to make freebie buttons for my webcomic without spending a lot of money.

I’ve heard only good things about button selling/making, so I think I’m going to go for it! THanks for the tips, now i’m all excited to make buttons

OMG, we’re (Maya and I) at Licensing Show and we are openly cracking up in the reception area over this strip. The suits are looking at us funny… YES that is *exactly* how Ray talks to me!! Love it! You’ve so perfectly captured our Ray Ray, lovey – not to mention my reaction.
(and I love that I seem to be a busty kitty)
