In all honesty, my mother who is from there does in fact say that. ;P I don’t expect everyone to however. Maybe it was a phase the state went through.

I also don’t know / am not related to anybody who has ever called the state anything but “New Jersey”.
Then again, I think Scottish people either sound like Rahne Sinclair or Craig Ferguson… So I’ll let it slide.

i’ve actually heard it called that quite often ^^; But that’s because we’re making fun of the state and the “jersey boys”
