Bree doesn’t like to admit it, but sometimes we are pretty fun sans liquor! But of course the alcohol has a special place in all of our hearts/stomachs/bloodstreams.

Seriously I wonder what goes through people’s minds when they just blurt out races like that – is it because of the Asian stereotype that we’ll just shut up and take it? Experience with Mom and Mel has taught me to be snappy about such remarks, but you know I sometimes wonder if it makes a difference. Maybe once in a while, but this guy was obviously too drunk to care. Oh Shivi, why do you always attract the weirdos?

By the way, I’m not saying I feel that way every day, just some days. And there are some days when I feel sexy and cool and those days are fun! But everyone has “those” days where, no matter what you do, you feel like an overweight anteater with bags under your eyes, a long face, and hairdo problems.

More akin to recent events, I was supposed to have a chill beer n pizza n video games party this past weekend, but I instead came down with a quick n’ powerful bout of what might have been blood-sugar related problems at Zumi’s NJ Webcomics Chaos. I do have some problems related to Hypoglycemia (or was it hyper? things i need to see the doctore about…), but for the most part it only occurs rarely on days where I have an abnormal eating schedule. But this time it was a mite more powerful than usual and, much to everyone (esp. Gary’s) chagrin, I do not vomit gracefully. Thanks very muchly to Gary and Sue (who just happened to be at the restaurant too) of the Metuchen First Aid Squad, who were there to deal with my sudden loss of feeling/vision/the contents of my stomach.

I tried to base Gary’s character off his pup, who I have not yet had the pleasure to meet! Maybe next NJ Webcomic Chaos! Also, Zumi’s in this comic and was in a previous comic around this same time last year!

For Bree’s 22nd birthday, we went to what I can assume is New Brunswick’s only gay bar to celebrate! It was a lot of fun, but a little awkward being that no one was actually gay in our party that night. During the time we spent there, Mike got smelled, stroked on the face, got asked to dance, and was told he looked like a “young Christopher Reeve” (owing to Mike’s odd celebrity look-alikes).

Man, how come no lesbians ever hit on me?? Sadness!!

Aww it’s gushy mushy time! As if you weren’t nauseated from my previous ones. Don’t get mad at me! It was my bifday yesterday!

And yes, my purse and camera got stolen that night and I totally called my parents at 3 am when the bars in NYC closed. And Shivi does dance exactly as shown in the first panel.

So whenever I ask Mike about how I was in the beginning he always says “You were weird back then” and then shuts up. Maybe this is what he was talking about.

Ami finally notices Mike. I was inspired to do this scene close to the scene in which Fone Bone meets Thorn, cause that’s pretty much what it was like, except my head wasn’t on fire. New Brunswick people may recognize this place as one of the best fast food-type restaurants on Easton with the best selection of beers.

Okay you might’ve noticed I’ve got a couple of pet peeves of mine here, but I guess I come off as quite a spiky-ass. But, like our hedgehog brethren, I am more bark than I am bite really. Literally, all these three individuals, who know me best of all, pointed it all out within the same couple of days… Don’t worry guys… I complain a lot but I’m not all that bad!

…Except for those stupid tourists, I could knock one of those guys off no prob! ;P

BTW – did you notice my awesome new font? I dub it “Auilix’s Occasional Hand,” and it’s basically my own handwriting! What do you think? More or less annoying than the previous font?
