Anyone who makes and autobio comic (or maybe any comic, I’m not sure) probably gets “this should be a comic!” quite often. And while it sometimes works out and does become a comic, I find that far too many times it’s just too hard to do or not quite as funny as one would think or too inside jokey to produce.

I had fun doing this page – it’s actually from before I even quit my job! But I kept delaying putting it online because of the many longer stories I was doing for the past couple of months.

I think it was a learning experience to get to know what my friends and family thought and their own experiences in life. I suppose our exes do have a special place in our hearts – we learn from them and they are a part of us as we move on. Again, special thanks to friends and family for sharing their experiences with me.

Our second entry into the Glass Urchin Two Year Anniversary Week is from little sister Mel!

I’m glad to have such a cool little sister like Mel. She teaches me a lot and is always there to support the people she cares about when they need her the most. She also thinks she can’t draw but I like her rendition of my hedgehoggy characters!

I thought this was a great line. If you don’t know what Platform 9 3/4 is, you probably have had your head under a rock for quite some time.

You just try explaining to a youngster raised without religion why some kids have the gall to bust into your backyard and then provide the pretty much unwinnable (for a 10 year old) argument that an invisible guy owns our land, not us, and so people who pray to the invisible guy should be able to get in and walk all over the place. Actually come to think of it, that’s probably how the Native Americans felt.

Yes, true story. Hottest chick ever, nose pickage, public transport.

I know some of you suggest cuddling a kitty when you’re depressed – there aren’t any kitties in my home right now, but my family has a pair of crazy kitties who do stupid things all the time and they do make me laugh quite a bit when I’m home. In any case, they sure are a distracting bunch.

I sometimes use the line “there was kitties” even when there are no physical kitties around. You should use that line too. They’re there (if only in your mind).

I guess everyone has nightmares about different things. I find it funny that Mel seriously has nightmares about fashion faux-pas.

In case you’re wondering about the background, we went to the “hawnted house” and hayride down somewhere near Freehold a week or so before Halloween. We shared our hay mobile with some annoying people too! But it was all good fun!
